“Nothing makes me happier than seeing someone wearing something that I crafted with my own two hands, except maybe getting to wear it myself!”
A Little About S.A.S.
Hi there! Thanks for checking out Seven Acres Silver, I’m Asia, the one woman show behind it. I was born in the beautiful coastal town of Bella Coola B.C., which is where my love and appreciation for mountains and salt water come from, and the explanation for why after being raised in the Okanagan, I ended up on Vancouver Island, and more recently relocated to Calgary, Alberta.
From a young age I have always had a fascination with jewelry, and more specifically, silver jewelry. In 2017 I decided to take my fascination one step further, and learnt how to make it. Building up my own small studio on my sisters seven acre farm in the Cowichan Valley along the way. Since then it has become a passion of mine, and even turned into a small business.
I think the inspiration for a lot of my work comes from my love of western fashion, and my Nuxalk heritage. I love making statement pieces, with the focus being on the beautiful stones I am lucky enough to work with, turquoise being one of my favourites. Most of my stones are purchased from lapidary artists that cut the stones by hand, and this makes for a truly one of a kind piece of jewelry.
Nothing makes me happier than seeing someone wearing something that I crafted with my own two hands, except maybe getting to wear it myself! Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to learn a little bit about Seven Acres Silver.
